  • Emergency Rental Assistance programs play a crucial role in providing stability for individuals & families facing housing crises.
  • These programs have become increasingly vital in the wake of economic challenges such as the COVID-19 pandemic.
  • To maximize the effectiveness of emergency rental assistance in the community, it is essential to continually assess & improve upon program policies, procedures, & practices based on lessons learned & new or emerging needs.
  •  Annual household income is between 50% and 80% AMI
    AND
  •  One or more individuals in the household:
  •  Has been unemployed for at least 90-days preceding application date
  •  Has experienced a documentable reduction in income (See slide 8)
  •  Has experienced a verifiable financial hardship which they expect, and can demonstrate, will impact their ability to meet a past, current, or upcoming rental obligation
    AND
  •  One or more individuals in the household can demonstrate a risk of experiencing housing instability
