Homeless

Outreach

“Homelessness” often looks different here in the north end of the county, where a one-bedroom apartment can cost more than $1,200 per month. If not in a tent, a family may be living in their car or sleeping on the street.

A temporary financial or life crisis, such as an employment furlough, layoff, or health emergency, can result in homelessness due to sudden loss of income and a dearth of affordable and available housing.

If you know of someone who may need help, please let us know.

Our Street Outreach Coordinator meets with individuals and families who are unsheltered (sleeping in a place not meant for human habitation — under bridges, in the woods, or in cars, for example). We talk with them, share emergency supplies, and connect them with the helpful resources they need.

Where did you see the person(s)? Please describe the location with as much detail as possible. Street intersections and highway exit numbers are helpful.

When did you see the person(s?) Please share the day, date, and time of day.

Name of the person(s), if known.

Description of the person(s): approximate age, race, identifying features, belongings, etc.

Describe any interactions with the person(s):
